The 90 minute, pièce de résistance: The "Best Of" The Lou Gordon Program has arrived, and you can own your copy today!!!

Unseen and unavailable for over 31 years, until now... This is the "best of" The Lou Gordon Program, including of course, Jackie Gordon.  This is a memorial show taped upon Lou's death and in his honor, in May 1977.  The show is entitled "Lou Gordon Man of Conscience Man of Truth.  A Tribute to Lou Gordon." The show was based out of Detroit, syndicated on the Kaiser Broadcasting Network (now the CW), across the country in the 13 major markets from 1965, until Lou's death in 1977.

There are literally dozens of interviews with everyone from Jimmy Carter, to Joey The Hit Man; Bob Hope to Rona Barrett; Dick Cavett to Ralph Nader, and many, many more.

Of course, this DVD also includes the famous interview with Governor George Romney (R-MI), and the famous "Brainwashing Statement" Governor Romney made regarding the Vietnam war, which was universally acknowledged to have killed Romney's chances at The Presidency of the United States.

There are also several guests that actually walk-off the show after becoming so incensed by Lou's hard-hitting, poignant questioning, they simply can't hack-it, and literally stand-up in the middle of the interview, and leave - something Lou secretly loved.

You will also find plenty of good wishes from people like Senator Carl Levin (D-MI), to NBC's Tom Snyder, (Tom is your host and tour guide throughout this most special program showing you what life was like for the man who developed his special brand of broadcast journalism by standing up for the voiceless, representing the little man and "being the people's advocate."

Lou Gordon was truly a man of the people and a true pioneer of broadcast journalism - especially when it came to pulling the truth out of politicians, and holding the "high and mighty" accountable.

Needless to say, there's plenty from the man himself, who told it like it really was; "with no cue-cards, no idiot boards, no re-runs; just plain, ad-lib conversation in which we try to tell it like it really is... and with me tonight as always, my dear wife Jackie..."  Naturally, you'll see Jackie Gordon as well!

In addition to taping three (3) 90 minute shows per-week, Lou also wrote a bi-weekly column for The Detroit News.

The DVD contains three parts: Part one and part two; and part three is a bonus track from one of the standard, weekend editions of "The Lou Gordon Program" which is a show-closing, including the show's theme song, "MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris, closing credits, etc.

The entire show runs approximately 92 minutes and has been color corrected and is of broadcast quality.
